Meet the Kofoed’s

Music has been one of the most meaningful ways stay connected as a family and build connections with others!

About 15 years ago, I gathered a collection of songs I had written and (with the loving, generosity of my husband), we contacted a producer and recorded a CD! We called our group “E11even”.

At the time we had 9 children + 2 parents = 11. Well as providence would have it, we were blessed with 2 more amazing children to make our family complete, so E11even still fits! 🙂 At that time our oldest was 16 and we were in that magical phase of life. Those songs are about family, faith and fun and I am so grateful to have that season of our life captured through music.  You have probably been there and will find songs you relate to there. That music is posted on our “E11even” page.

KOFOED FAMILY MUSIC is our PART TWO! We are no longer 11, or 13, we are 35 and growing…With time has brought SO many experiences and new perspectives. As hard as some experiences have been, I am grateful for the things I have learned and the refiners fire of life.

I look at my children and grandchildren and sometimes hold my breath… knowing there is no other way to grow, but to go through hard things. I have found that trying to avoid challenges eventually catches up to us! haha

Learning to trust in the Lord and let these experiences pass through us…is the hard work that truly changes us for the better. We become stronger, our compassion grows, and we can be a light and voice of encouragement for the common struggles we all face.

I’ve been blessed to have people come into my life and share words of encouragement at the times I’ve needed it most. I’ve also found incredible encouragement and insight through studying God’s word. We all need to be seen as children of God.

Life is such an adventure and we are not meant to travel alone! We can do so much to lighten eachother’s burdens of worry and care, and one of the beautiful ways we can do that is through inspiring music that unites us as sisters and brothers.
