I shared on an email this last summer about the special opportunity I had to meet and interview Sally. She is receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award in music from an organization called LDSPMA (Latter-Day Saint Publishing, Media and Art) that I volunteer with and we had the chance to meet and connect. For 30+ years she has been writing and sharing sacred music. Her music has been sung everywhere from cradles to palaces. To represent her work, I suggested she have one of her songs performed at the awards night. At the end of the call, she unexpectedly offered for the girls to record this song and for the video to be used for the evening!!

Wow! My girls were so honored, they love this song! Most of them have sung it as a solo for church, and the powerful melody and words resonate with everyone that hears it.

There were so many small miracles that led to recording and filming this! The new contemporary arrangement (Daniel Blomberg), the stunning track (Dave Zimmerman and Daniel), the incredible vocals (my wonderful daughters and the many grandchildren running around while I helped their moms record in our home studio :), and the powerful videography (Josh Sales), ALL these were critical pieces to sharing the message of this song about Christ’s redeeming love. What a blessing to be a part of it!
