For a long time, I did not understand GRACE, it was not part of my vocabulary. Words like forgiveness and redemption were much more familiar to me. They are powerful words, but when “grace” came along, I was changed.

It felt like a warm blanket of mercy and love. Maybe it’s because I had already associated the word “grace” with beautiful things, and I was older and had experienced Christ’s free, divine gift of grace in both small and lifesaving ways.

I am so underserving, but His grace washes over me like cleansing rain and gives me hope and strength to move forward. For me, grace is both the step before and after forgiveness. It accounts for our mistakes and our humanity. Extending His gift of grace freely to others, continues to change me, and I have watched it change the people I love. When people give us space to be wrong, and room to change and grow… without condemnation… it is that same warm blanket of love and hope that Christ gives.

There are no words to describe the gratitude I feel for the Grace of Jesus Christ.

I also want to thank everyone for giving that grace to me and others. This beautiful, undeserved gift of love and mercy, compassion, and forgiveness…space to be wrong and space to grow, is the greatest gift humanity can give.

When I first reached out to our producers about beginning these recording projects, this song had not even been written yet. But, once our pre-production dates were on the calendar, I felt this message stirring in my heart. “Grace for the Fallen” began and by the time we went to record, I told them if we have time to start a 4th song…I had had one ready. We worked on the pre-productions of the other 3 songs: Long Ago, Far Away, Rescued Me, and Million Reasons and I didn’t see how in those few days we would get to this one. But as providence would have it, there were 2 hours left in the day and the beginnings of this song emerged.

I have been looking forward to sharing this song since then. The message is universal regardless of where we are, what we are going through, or where we have been… we ALL need His GRACE. The first verse of the chorus is, “We all need grace for the fallen, grace for the all-in, we are all weak but we’re trying to be strong. We all need hope when we’re hopeless, we’re God’s children, no less, who lose our way but we’re trying to hold on…to hold on.”

Our son Jaron is one of the lead singers on this song, and in more ways than I can express, I am so thankful he is on this recording!

If the song touches you, as always, we would grateful if you shared.

YOU ARE LOVED,

Kimberly
