Keith McCauley (King Ahasuerus) is a tenor, conductor, arranger, and actor based in the Treasure Valley. He is co-founder, Vice President, and Associate Director of Cantus Youth Choirs, where he has directed and arranged since 2012. A lifelong vocalist, Keith trained in the internationally renowned BYU Singers under Dr. Ronald Staheli and has sung under Mack Wilberg and Rosalind Hall, even spending a week recording with composer Eric Whitacre. He has performed as a soloist across the U.S. and abroad—from Sweden to Japan, where he was a featured soloist at the Kanagawa Arts Theater near Tokyo.

On stage, Keith has played Noah in the off-Broadway musical The Ark, Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods, Bert Healy in Annie, and Snoopy in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, among many others. He was the tenor soloist in Handel’s Messiah and played Thomas in Rob Gardner’s The Lamb of God. In 2025 he founded the Cantus Choir & Orchestra, performing Kurt Bestor’s Easter oratorio The Redeemer with Jenny Oaks Baker. Keith holds a degree from Brigham Young University and continues private vocal study to this day with Allison Linton. He and his wife, Erika, have been married since 2004 and have three children.
