His invitation to FOLLOW HIM is aways there and thank goodness we can do it one step at a time!

Children embody simplicity. They don’t complicate things like we adults do! They are quick to forgive and quick to love. Doesn’t following Jesus feel simpler if we approach life as a child? (Matthew 18:3)

Taking one step nearer to Christ each day was our congregation’s theme last year and I loved the simple concept, which became this song! In that spirit, it is a simple recording that we did at home, with our youngest son Kyler and oldest daughter Kylie singing it as a duet.

My favorite line is “He knows I’m not perfect and the journey seems long, but His plan is designed to make weak become strong taking one step nearer to Christ“.  Amen (:
