Kofoed Family Music Contributor Agreement
Intellectual Property Assignment, Release & Portfolio Use Agreement
Thank you for sharing your talents with Kofoed Family Music! Your contributions are deeply appreciated. This agreement helps protect the Work while allowing you to showcase your creative work.
The Work: The song, album, video, or other project named in the “Song / Project Title” field of this form, in every version, including any recordings, videos, and future productions of it (the “Work”).
Description of Creative Contributions: All arrangements, orchestrations, musical adaptations, vocal and instrumental performances, recording, engineering, mixing, music production, music copying and notation, and all sound recordings, tracks, stems, masters, and demos, as well as video, photography, film and video editing, animation, artwork, illustrations, designs, and written materials, that I have made or will make for the Work, in every version (collectively, my “Contributions”). My role(s) are described in the “Role / Contributions” field of this form (for example: videographer, photographer, studio musician, vocalist, copyist, arranger, producer, engineer, artist, editor, or animator).
1. Ownership of Creative Contributions
I acknowledge that the Work is the creative property of Kimberly Gee Kofoed (“Owner”), who is the sole owner of the Work.
I hereby assign to Kimberly Gee Kofoed, her heirs, successors and assigns, all right, title, and interest, including all copyrights, throughout the world, together with all renewals, extensions, and the right to register copyright and to sue for past, present, and future infringement, that I own in my Contributions—that is, all of my contributions to the Work, whether previously completed or created in the future, including without limitation copyright in the arrangements, orchestrations, musical adaptations, sound recordings, tracks, stems, masters, and demos, as well as recording, engineering, mixing, music production, and vocal and instrumental performances. This also includes, as applicable, video, photography, film and video edits, animation, artwork, illustrations, designs, and written materials. This assignment includes any copyright or other rights I may have in my vocal or instrumental performances as captured in any sound recording of the Work, so that Kimberly Gee Kofoed is the sole owner of those recordings.
This assignment does not include my unrelated work or preexisting intellectual property.
I understand my contributions are not works made for hire and that this is an assignment of copyright. I may be credited for my role, and credit does not give me any ownership interest. I waive, to the extent permitted, any claim to joint authorship or co-ownership of the Work.
2. Permission to Record and Share
I grant Kimberly Gee Kofoed and those she authorizes, including Kofoed Family Music, LLC, permission to record, photograph, edit, reproduce, perform, distribute, stream, broadcast, and use my Work-related performances, voice, image, and contributions in current and future productions, recordings, films, and promotional materials worldwide, without a time limit.
3. Public Portfolio Permission
Kimberly Gee Kofoed and those she authorizes, including Kofoed Family Music, LLC, grant me nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to display and share publicly released materials from the Work incorporating my contributions in my personal or professional portfolio, website, social media, demo reels, and professional presentations.
I may identify myself as the creator of my contributions and acknowledge my involvement with the Work.
I agree not to independently sell, license, commercially distribute, or authorize others to use materials from the Work without written permission from Kimberly Gee Kofoed or those she authorizes, including Kofoed Family Music, LLC.
Unreleased materials require prior written approval. Portfolio permission does not extend to third-party rights not controlled by Kimberly Gee Kofoed or those she authorizes, including Kofoed Family Music, LLC.
4. Compensation and Credit
Any previously agreed compensation or royalty arrangements remain in effect. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, no additional compensation or royalties are owed for uses authorized by this agreement.
Kimberly Gee Kofoed and Kofoed Family Music value each contributor, and contributions to the Work will be credited wherever possible.
5. Understanding and Agreement
I confirm that I have the right to assign the rights and grant the permissions described above and will identify any third-party materials included in my contributions.
I agree to sign any additional documents reasonably needed to confirm or record this assignment (including, for example, with the U.S. Copyright Office).
This agreement is governed by Idaho law.
