How do you feel connected to this story and project ...
This story is from a time and culture that most of us can’t really even comprehend. The circumstances Esther finds herself in are so foreign. And yet, the principles of courage, faith, and self-sacrifice transcend across time and cultures; who amongst us hasn’t had a time when everything depended upon us taking that one courageous step to change the course of our fate or the fate of our family. It’s been my experience that in those moments that we receive an awareness of the reality of Christ’s Divinity and His matchless love for us.
The story of Esther is further proof that faith in the God of Israel is well founded. He reaches our reaching; fixes what is broken; and sustains us in every second of life in what can be a miserable mortality.
This music captures that contrast (Christ’s ability to Atone and our need to be Atoned) and delivers it in a contemporary way that makes it easily digestible to audiences… when Keith, Kylie, and Shalese (and everyone else) sing, the truth of Christ’s power to save and enable us (whether an Esther, a Mordecai, or a King) shines through.
